Rosemont ground water flow model released

The highly anticipated groundwater flow model for the simulation of the Rosemont copper mine pit dewatering and post-closure is now online at the Rosemont Copper web site.

One of the conclusions in the report prepared by Montgomery and Associates, is that the "Model projections indicate the pit lake will be a hydraulic sink 100 years after mine closure." [right, hydrologic features in the study area. Plate in the report]

The file is 43 Mb - it took my home pc quite a while to download it.
