"Southwest Hydrology" ceases publication

Southwest Hydrology, the flagship publication of the UA's SAHRA (Sustainability of semi-arid Hydrology and Riparian Areas) center, is shutting down with the issue that is arriving in the mail this week.

The publishers said they had tried for the past few years to increase ad revenue and cut costs but the recession and ending of the main NSF funding for SAHRA combined to end its run.

Southwest Hydrology premiered in 2002, and is distributed free of charge six times per year to around 6,600 subscribers in the Southwest and the rest of the United States.
